It is with great sadness that we have to inform staff, students and families that Pope Francis has died today at the Vatican.
The first pontiff from South America, and the first Jesuit, he was Pope for 12 years and brought a great sense of humanity, joy and love of people to his mission. His legacy to us is his unwavering commitment, inspired by St Francis of Assisi, to peace and the alleviation of poverty.
Lord, grant him eternal rest and may perpetual light shine upon him, Amen.
